The Hainan Center for the Performing Arts is located at No 68 Guoxing Avenue in Haikou. It is a large-scale public cultural facility invested and constructed by the Hainan government. The center aims to carry out art activities in Hainan.
The center covers a total area of 25,000 square meters, including 2,657 square meters of theater (including stage). The main building includes a large-scale theater and an auxiliary room with an area of 8,253 sq m.

To the north of the main building, there is a square covering an area of 99,400 square meters, which includes 35,800 sq m of roads, 47,700 sq m of garden, a music fountain, and lighting. The main entrance of the theater can be used as a stage for outdoor performances.
The center was completed in September 2010. As the only first-class professional performance venue in Hainan, it will continue to boost the province's cultural development and prosperity.
