Sanya Haitang Bay Paddy Field National Park, a rice theme park, opened Wednesday to welcome tourists. The park, with its first phase covering 253 hectares with an investment of 2.3 billion yuan ($362.7 million), will serve as an important recreational complex that integrates science education, environmental protection and sightseeing.
The park features open-air live show performances, a dinosaur base for science education, paddy-themed restaurants, a rice paddy culture area, ecological greenhouses and a rice paddy garden.
