The 2018 Spring Festival Gala, or Chunwan in Chinese, opened at 8 pm on Feb 15.
Hainan took the stage for the first time at the gala, with an eight-minute performance at the Sanya sub-venue that stunned millions of Chinese worldwide.
The performance presented Hainan's character, publicizing the highlights and achievements of Hainan's 30 years of development as well as showcasing Hainan’s unique style as an international tourism island.
It was another grand occasion for celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Hainan as the largest special economic zone in the country, following the promotional event for Hainan.
