Cream of the crop of Asian fruit and veg to come to Haikou

The 2018 iFresh (Hainan) Fruit & Vegetable Expo will be held at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center in Haikou, capital of Hainan province, from June 29 to July 1.

With the theme of "Exchange and Cooperation, Green Development", the expo will accelerate scientific and technological exchanges for the fruit and vegetable industry among Asian countries and facilitate networking for those attending the expo who are working within the industry.

The domestic leading trade event has been held in Shanghai for a decade and this year marks its debut in Hainan. It aims to become a service and consulting platform benefiting practitioners in the fruit and vegetable industrial chain.

Over 500 exhibitors will display their products in the area of 13,000 sq m. About 20 percent will come from overseas countries, including Peru, Egypt, Australia, Ecuador, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Activities such as fruit tasting, a creative fruit competition, a fruit and vegetable auction and the launch ceremony of the 2018 Silk Road World Model Competition Hainan Competition Area will also be organized.

The expo is sponsored by the Department of Commerce of Hainan Province and the iFresh Fruit and Vegetable Expo, and supported by the Hainan Agricultural Products Marketing Association, the Hainan Convention and Exhibition Industry Association, and the China Vegetable Marketing Association.
