The 2018 Hainan International Tourism Island Carnival that kicks off tomorrow promises top integrated enjoyment for all the senses and even close animal encounters.
The carnival atmosphere will sweep across Hainan province until the end of this year with Sanya, Danzhou, Wanning, Qionghai, and Lingshui ready to host activities alongside the main venue city of Haikou.

The 2018 Hainan International Tourism & Food Expo
Date: Nov 23-26
Location: Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center B Hall and open ground
The highly-anticipated expo will kick off the annual Hainan tourism carnival. More than 1,000 booths and 22 exhibition zones are scheduled at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center. Haikou has allocated an additional 3.5 hectares to accommodate the various exotic flavors unique to 12 countries and regions around the world, including the United States, Germany, Canada and India. Twenty-five provinces (cities) and 13 Hainan cities and counties will also present their specialties.
The menu includes many time-honored brands such as Beijing Quanjude Roast Duck and Hangzhou Louwailou Vacuum-Sealed Meat Products. Well-known enterprises including Yili Milk, Qingdao Beer, and Meituan Dianping, a provider of on-demand online services, will also take part.
The Strawberry Music Festival 2018

Location: Changying Hainan ''Global 100'' movie theme park, Haikou
An eclectic mix of rock, pop, ballad, hip-hop, and electronic music will make a successful debut at the Strawberry Music Festival in Hainan. Popular singers such as Pu Shu, Man Shuke, and Chen Hongyu will take to the stage along with bands including Queen Sea Big Shark.
Creative interactions will add to the atmosphere and gourmet food will be at hand. Participants can also take home some exquisite arts and crafts from a market beside the stage.
ISY Music Festival
Date: Dec 27-31
Location: Haitang Bay, Haikou
This music festival is looking to extend its popularity following its first success in March, with this time set to be the biggest and best to date, featuring several different zones for music and food. The most impressive among the four stages is Arcadia, at a height of 20 meters and weighing 50 tons. It will open to Chinese fans for the first time.
The high-power lineup includes Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiesto, and Afrojack.
An accompanying fireworks show will light up the festival. Another will be held in Sanya city center to celebrate the arrival of the New Year.

The 3rd Hainan International Tourism Island (Lingshui) Youth Festival
Date: Nov 24-25
Location：Lingshui Li autonomous county
If you want some thrilling experience, don't miss the youth carnival that will provide everything from water and sports fun to electronic music and delicacies. Not only this, ocean adventures, a DJ carnival and a beer party are also on the roster, in addition to a thousand-people water festival integrating indigenous Li and Miao ethnic cultures. The theme is "Go High, Go Young."
Animal Time
Date: Nov 24-30
Location: Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park and Botanical Garden, Haikou
The public will be able to meet two cute giant pandas newly settled in the Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park and Botanical Garden, a national 4A-level scenic level, and can participate in various activities based around them.
A "home," imitating the giant pandas' natural habitat and allowing visits, will be opened. The pandas are named Gonggong and Shunshun, and arrived in Hainan on Nov 10.
