New direct flight to connect Haikou, Melbourne

Hainan Airlines will open a direct flight from Haikou, Hainan province to Melbourne on Dec 16.

This will be the company's second direct flight to Australia, in addition to the Haikou-Sydney flight, and is expected to further expand Haikou's international aviation market and increase international tourism in Hainan.

The flight includes 180-degree massage seats, BOSE headsets and washing bags in the first-class cabins. It departs from Melbourne at 9 am local time and arrives in Haikou at 4:05 pm. It then leaves Haikou at 6:40 pm local time and reaches Melbourne at 7 am the following morning.

The flight will be extended to Changsha on Jan 16. After this date, the flight will depart from Changsha Huanghua International Airport at 1:25 pm every Wednesday and Sunday. After a short layover at Haikou Meilan International Airport, it will leave for the Melbourne International Airport, arriving at 7 am local time the following day.
