China's opening-up over the past 40 years has not only benefited the country and its people, but also the rest of the world, said panelists at the ongoing Boao Forum for Asia on Tuesday.
China's foreign trade volume has increased 30-40 percent since it became a WTO member, said Long Yongtu, former vice-minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and lead negotiator of China's entrance into the WTO.
