Airports Council International (ACI) held its annual Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards ceremony during the Second ACI Customer Excellence Global Summit, which took place on Sept 4 on the island of Bali, Indonesia. Hainan-based HNA Group won a total of nine awards due to its excellent service quality and advanced branding management at its subsidiary airports in Haikou, Sanya of Hainan and Yichang in Hubei province.
The ASQ assessment project of the ACI is the most authoritative, professional, and influential airport satisfaction survey and evaluation project in the global airport industry. The project is based on a unified global standard to measure passenger satisfaction.
In 2018, the ACI conducted 650,000 questionnaires at 376 airports in 90 countries around the world and offered comprehensive assessments of the airports through 34 key indicators, such as airport check-in, security inspection, signage, and catering.
