Tickets for films to be screened during the 2nd Hainan Island International Film Festival began to sell on Nov 26 on Taopiaopiao, Alibaba's online movie-ticketing platform.
The festival, jam-packed with box office hits, is scheduled to show films at the 1+X Mangrove Cinema, Dadonghai Beach in Sanya.
Classics will even be staged outdoors on the beach on Dec 2-7 for film enthusiasts.
