China Electronics Corporation (CEC), one of the largest producers of telecoms equipment in China, launched the country's first computer software and hardware system standard at Hainan Resort Software Community on Dec 29.
The "PK System Standard (2019 Edition)" is China's first computer hardware and software standard with completely independent intellectual property rights.
Taking CEC two years to finish, it includes 15 standards in four major categories spanning areas including reference frames, reference boards, operating systems, peripheral interfaces, engineering services, and security.
In 2011, CEC took network information security as its main business, developed the Phytium processor and Kylin operating system and established a Chinese computer software and hardware basic system featuring timeliness, security and reliability: the PK System.
The PK system has been successfully applied in government information, power, finance, energy and other industries. With the input of government, industry, academia, and research, it has helped to jointly solve key problems and promote the development of China's computer industry.
The standard fundamentally standardizes technical services for system users and upstream and downstream manufacturers. Moreover, it solves incompatibility problems in terms of interfaces, parameters, and versions of the products within the system, internal products, and third-party access products.
In the future, CEC will release the 2020 edition, which will be supported and characterized by the independent and trusted technology of the PK System and compatible with technologies such as cloud computing, virtualization, big data, internet of things, and artificial intelligence.
