China's tropical island of Hainan announced recently that it will extend the time span for allowing overseas yachts to temporarily enter the island's eight water zones from July 16 to Jan 15, 2021.
The eight water zones are Dongying, Boao, Shimei Bay and Shenzhou Peninsula, Haitang Bay, Nanshan, Longmu Bay, Qizi Bay, as well as Lin'gao Jiao.
Early in July 2019, Hainan announced the approval of inbound yachts from outside the island to temporarily enter the island with simplified procedures from July 16, 2019 to Jan 15, 2020 as the island promotes the opening up of the yacht industry to the outside world, updating the yacht entry-exit policy system, management mechanism, and operation guidelines.
