Hainan FTP launches investment project, resources database

A database of investment projects and business resources in the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) was launched on Oct 13 at the Haikou International Convention and Exhibition Center, according to reports by Hainan Daily.

The creation of the database is a move by the island province to create a first-class business environment, integrate its investment resources, as well as display the latest business trends, industrial policies, investment projects, and investment resources of the province and its cities, counties, and industrial parks.  

The signing ceremony for 46 key projects, worth 17 billion yuan ($2.5 billion), was also held at the venue, marking the third batch of projects that have collectively signed contracts to settle in Hainan since the release of the Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port on June 1 this year. 

In addition to famous central enterprises like China Minmetals Corporation and China National Aviation Fuel Group Corporation, nine foreign firms like electric vehicle maker Tesla also announced their plans to settle in the Hainan FTP.

During the event, Hainan showed the guests the gains made in business promotion in the Hainan FTP and the achievements in the Hainan FTP construction.

Many foreign ambassadors to China and well-known entrepreneurs from home and abroad expressed their confidence in the development prospects of the Hainan FTP, as well as their strong willingness to cooperate with Hainan in various fields in videos that were screened to attendees.
