On Jan 23, the fourth session of the seventh Hainan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held in Haikou.
During the meeting, industry leaders gathered to discuss issues concerning the economy, social welfare, culture, and other fields. The outcome of the meeting will serve as an important reference for Hainan's government work in 2021.
Fu Qiongfen, member of Hainan Provincial Committee of CPPCC, stated that as the Hainan Free Trade Port develops faster, Hainan should offer more international services to assist overseas talents.
"The existing international legal service industry in Hainan is insufficient, and it is far from being able to meet the needs of the Hainan Free Trade Port," she explained. Fu spotted a serious shortage of legal personnel and institutions that can deal with international affairs. She hopes to see more policies attracting talents and organizations to assist overseas personnel in the future.
Wu Suguo, member of Hainan Provincial Committee of CPPCC, expressed concerns about the parenting pressure on those young talents. "Raising children is both time and cost-consuming," said Wu. He suggested that the Hainan government set up a professional nursery to take good care of children under the age of three. He regards reliable nurseries as an efficient method to liberate young parents, especially female employees, from parenting.
"Solve the worries of talents so that we can keep them," stated Wu.
