Haikou Meilan International Airport has been declared "Best Airport in the Asia-Pacific" in the "15-25 Million Passengers" category of the 2020 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards for the Asia-Pacific and Middle-East regions, the Airports Council International (ACI) announced recently.
To emulate excellent international airports around the world, improve services and enrich its service products, Haikou Meilan International Airport introduced the authoritative International Airport Association-ASQ Service Evaluation system in 2009. As of 2020, ASQ passenger satisfaction surveys have been carried out for 11 consecutive years, and nearly 15,000 questionnaires have been collected.
Based on ASQ's survey analysis, Haikou airport provides 34 full-process service items covering transportation, check-in, security, catering, shopping, signage and sanitation. It is striving to promote the renovation of its equipment and facilities, optimize its service procedures and roll out more new products to improve passenger service quality.
