Over 100 experts from across the world are due to attend the 2021 China Seed Congress and the Nanfan Agricultural Silicon Valley Forum, which will be held in Sanya from March 20 to 24, to discuss seed industry development and solve related problems.
The event will consist of a main forum and 12 sub-forums, in which experts will share their insights on the protection and utilization of germplasm resources, the industrialization of biotechnology, seed enterprise development, international cooperation, as well as industrial match makings.
The forums will cover a variety of topics, such as rice, corn, vegetables, aquatic products, livestock and poultry, fruit trees, Sanya Nanfan Science and Technology City, agricultural reclamation, the digital seed industry, free trade port construction, as well as seed industry intellectual property rights.
Special awards recognizing seed industry promotion efforts will be granted and plaques will be issued to honor seed enterprise with excellent credits during the event, as part of efforts to promote the construction of the seed industry credit system in China.
Field demonstrations of crops will
be carried out at five agricultural bases in Sanya, Ledong Li autonomous county,
and Lingshui Li autonomous county, with more than 1,700 varieties of rice, corn,
bean, melons, as well as vegetables to be on display.
