First zero-tariff self-use equipment gets through customs in Hainan FTP

Hainan Yiling Medical Industry Development in the Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone has declared the import of the zero-tariff cryogenic physiotherapy box at Wenchang Customs, which is under the jurisdiction of Haikou Customs. 

The compressed low-temperature physiotherapy box was declared by the company as being valued at 3.58 million yuan ($540,000) and Hainan Free Trade Port's zero-tariff policies saves the company 830,000 yuan in tax. It marks the smooth implementation of the zero tariff policy for self-use production equipment in Hainan FTP.

"As soon as the Hainan FTP self-use production equipment zero tariff policy was released, Haikou Customs began to offer policy introductions to our company, allowing us to immediately enjoy the policy dividends and relieve our financial pressures," said Zhang Yuzhao, who is on the board of directors of Hainan Yiling Medical Industry Development. 

To implement the zero tariff policy for self-use production equipment in the Hainan FTP, Haikou Customs has established a group to promote the implementation. It has deployed supervisory forces in advance, and carried out training and policy publicity to ensure the work progresses smoothly.
