The 2021 Annual Conference of the Boao Forum for Asia, to be held from April 18 to 21 in Boao, a town in Qionghai, South China's Hainan province, unveiled its latest agenda on April 6.
Titled "A World in Change: Join Hands to Strengthen Global Governance and Advance Belt and Road Cooperation", the conference will feature six main topics, including understanding China, grasping global changes and the development trend in Asia, cooperation between countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, and embracing industrial reforms, new technologies and shared development.
According to the agenda, a wide variety of thematic events are due to be hosted during the conference, spanning subjects ranging from the survival of small- and medium-sized enterprises, digital payments and digital currency, food security and future medical industry patterns, to poverty alleviation, sustainable rural development, globalization in the post-pandemic era, responses to major public health crises and international cooperation in the post-pandemic era.
In addition, activities centering around China's "dual circulation" development pattern, the prospects and influence of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, the global economy blueprint for 2021, Belt and Road cooperation and the development of global free trade ports will also be hosted in Boao during the annual conference.
