The tourism and culture authorities in counties and cities across Hainan will offer various benefits to citizens and tourists to mark the upcoming China Tourism Day, which falls on May 19 each year.
Measures such as the reduction or exemption of ticket fees for scenic spots, discounts on tourism projects and tourism poverty alleviation will be rolled out across the island province.
Taking the capital city of Haikou as an example, it will hold an opening ceremony for the China Tourism Day sub-venue event at Sanmenpo village in Qiongshan district.
On May 19, visitors can get 50 percent off at tourism attractions such as the Haikou National Geological Volcano Park and Changying Wonderland. The Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park and Botanical Garden will also offer ticket-free activities to honor anti-pandemic heroes.
To show off the charm of Haikou's beautiful countryside, and display the green development of Haikou's fruit industry, the city will also roll out various fruit-picking events.
