People swarm to take a good-luck swim in Haikou

Citizens as well as tourists in Haikou, Hainan all flocked to the seaside during the Dragon Boat Festival to bathe, a practice which is thought to help them keep safe and sound for the rest of the year. The Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunar calendar, fell on June 14 this year.
