The International Department of the Sanya Overseas Chinese School will begin admitting its first students this September. It plans to enroll a class of high school students and set up scholarships for excellent students.
The Sanya Overseas
Chinese School is the first school in Hainan province to be authorized by the
International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). In March 2018, the school
submitted an application to the IBO, and passed the preliminary review in May of
the same year. After more than two years of preparations, the school was
successfully authorized and became an IB World School.
The school offers small class sizes and will enroll no
more than 20 students. Every student will receive personal tutors, career
planners, and counselors to help them customize their own personalized learning
programs. In addition, the school will launch the "Millions Scholarship Program"
to attract talented, innovative, and responsible students. Excellent students
can enjoy up to three years of tuition waivers and awards after entering
university, with a total personal scholarship of one million yuan
($154,782).
