No new confirmed cases in Haikou for six days

As of Aug 12, no new confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections have been reported in Haikou for the past six days. After careful analysis, the risks of spreading the virus individually or in local cluster infections have been ruled out.

Lockdown in Haikou's Yunlong town partially opens

On Aug 5, the entire Yunlong town in Qiongshan district of Haikou was in lockdown. After three rounds of nucleic acid testing for all citizens on Aug 5, 8, and 11, and the environmental nucleic acid tests on Aug 12, which all showed negative results, the town resumed business in all sectors apart from the Yunlong Industrial Park.

10,400 nucleic acid tests taken from feverish patients, all negative

From Aug 1 to 11, a total of 10,400 nucleic acid tests have been taken from feverish patients, and the results are all negative.

Nucleic acid testing unnecessary for Hainan railway travel

According to railway officials, nucleic acid testing is not required for taking a train on the Hainan Ring High-Speed Railway. However, a green Hainan Health Code is still needed for boarding a train. 

Nucleic acid tests within 48 hours needed to take a coach in Haikou

The Haikou municipal transportation, port and shipping bureau announced on Aug 12 that passengers traveling from Haikou Transportation Center to the middle area of Hainan province must show a valid negative nucleic acid test within 48 hours. This is to implement precise prevention and control of the pandemic in middle-risk areas.

Nucleic acid tests cost 60 yuan for yellow code holders

The city of Haikou has set up mobile nucleic acid screening vehicles in Haikou People's Hospital, Haikou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Haikou Orthopedics and Diabetes Hospital, Haikou Hospital of Maternal and Child Health, and Haikou Third People's Hospital. Citizens with a yellow health code are required to take a nucleic acid test at the sites of these vehicles.

For those who have a yellow Hainan Health Code, they will get nucleic acid test, which costs 60 yuan ($9.3).
