During a media tour on Sept 16 in the Qiongzhong Li and Miao autonomous county in South China's Hainan province, reporters found the local "137" supervision system rather effective in improving work efficiency.
According to Xu Bin, Party chief of Qiongzhong, they analyze and discuss how to implement a task on the day it was assigned so that they can give feedback within three days and get things done within seven days. For problems that cannot be solved immediately, applicants will be informed of possible solutions and when they can be settled.
Xu Kai, manager of Qiongzhong Zhaonan Industrial Investment is impressed by the highly efficient service. Xu's company owns a project that has been progressing well in Qiongzhong for about one year. "As long as I make a phone call, there will be staff to assist us no matter what the problem is. They have a mechanism that requires services to be done within two hours," Xu said.
"For project application and approval, Qiongzhong has staff to help us to go through all the procedures. It saves our enterprise a lot of trouble," Xu added.
