At the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10, Hainan set up booths, visited key enterprises, and held matchmaking meetings in order to promote itself and build cooperation channels.

Global Consumer Products (Hainan) Trading Company is a subsidiary corporation of Hainan Development Holdings Company (HDH) and received a Hainan off-shore duty-free operation qualification in August last year.

"As a new duty-free operation company, we need to accumulate more brand investment and procurement resources, and enhance our market awareness through promotion," said Yang Jun, deputy general manager of HDH.

This is the first time that the company has participated in the CIIE. "We will visit relevant brands during the CIIE to discuss cooperation, and reserve supplies for the opening of the third phase of the duty-free complex. We plan to purchase fragrances, wine, glasses and jewelry." Yang introduced.

"During this year's CIIE, we plan to sign contracts with dozens of internationally renowned pharmaceutical companies such as Novartis, Novo Nordisk, AstraZeneca, GE Healthcare, Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals, Danone Asia Pacific and Danaher," said Yan Lukai, director of the promotion department of the Boao Lecheng Pilot Zone Administration Bureau.

The Sanya Humanities Exchange and Supporting Activities Exhibition Area was also unveiled at the CIIE. Sanya held interactive somatosensory games, displayed the city's tourist attractions and offered tasty snacks at the event.
