A few days ago, main civil construction wrapped up on the central area of the Haikou Xinhai Hub, the largest section of the project.
The central area of the Haikou Xinhai Hub includes three floors above ground and one underground floor, with a maximum floor area of 25,600 square meters.
According to the construction company, the construction volume in the central area is large, and the risk factor is high. The construction company took a number of measures to overcome difficulties related to the deep foundation pit and harsh weather conditions, finally completing the construction of all civil works and laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction.
The Haikou Xinhai Hub has a land area of about 366,000 sq m and a total construction area of over 83,000 sq m. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
After its completion, the hub will provide convenient, high-quality services to passengers and vehicles entering and leaving the island, which will significantly improve the interconnectivity of Hainan's transportation system and boost the development of surrounding tourism, cultural and commercial supporting services.
