2021 Hainan Island Fashion Week was held in Sanya between Dec 11 and 15. It ushered in six shows in Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area and Sanya Bay, which gathered various fashion designers and brands to showcase their latest work.
The event invited designers, critics, enthusiasts and other professionals to participate and promote fashion culture to the public through online livestreaming.
On Dec 11, CASCI, an aerospace culture and creative brand, among other brands presented a creative cross-border collaboration under the theme of "Stars and Seas" as the kick-off show of the fashion week. The models dressed in around 40 outfits inspired by space travel, galaxies, aeronautics, and electronics along with borrowed elements from mythology and technology.
The fashion week actively supported local brands as well. A local brand named "Buli Bushe" brought a Li brocade inspired fashion show to public. This show was supported the local clothing industry and shed light on the Li ethnic culture.
