Hainan to promote integrated development of Danzhou, Yangpu

On Dec 29, Hainan province held a mobilization conference for promoting the integrated development of Danzhou city and Yangpu Economic Development Zone.

Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, attended the conference on-site and delivered a speech, emphasizing that the integrated development of Danzhou and Yangpu comes with a goal of building the third growth pole in Hainan.

Shen pointed out that advancing the integration of Danzhou and Yangpu is necessary for Hainan to comprehensively deepen reform and opening-up and constructing the Hainan Free Trade Port with Chinese characteristics as well as to promote the development of Danzhou and Yangpu.

Danzhou and Yangpu should serve as "forerunners" in the construction zones of the Hainan FTP, and plan a developmental blueprint for the next five years. The two places should take shape with batch of innovative results that can be replicated and promoted in key areas such as system mechanisms, business environment, and social governance.

All relevant departments must establish and improve the promotion mechanism and increase the guarantee of resources in order to gather strong joint forces to promote Danzhou and Yangpu's integrated development, Shen noted.
