Haikou section of G15 Shenyang-Haikou Expressway opens to traffic

The Haikou section of the G15 Shenyang-Haikou Expressway opened to traffic on Dec 28, 2022.

The opening of the expressway is of great significance in improving the comprehensive transport capacity of the Xinhai Port area and the national and Hainan's highway network, and will promote construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

The route is 13.7 kilometers in total length, and adopts the standard of a six-lane expressway. The total investment is 6.55 billion yuan ($1 billion), with the route opening to traffic six months ahead of schedule.
