Recently, 25.8 metric tons of fresh coconuts, imported from Thailand by Xingkan (Shanghai) Technology and Trade, arrived at Yangpu Port by Nanhang-777. This is the first batch of imported fresh fruits received at the port since its approval, marking a breakthrough in the imported fresh fruit sector of the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP).
"Yangpu Port has the qualifications to enter the fruit business, as it has good port conditions and outstanding location and transportation advantages. These meet the business development needs of Southeast Asian fruit importation," said Rong Xiaoqiang, manager of the Xing Jian (Shanghai) Technology and Trade.
"The establishment of the designated imported fruits control site at Yangpu Port will attract more fruit import enterprises, as well as promote the development of Hainan's import and export trade, as well as its consumption and logistics mechanisms," said Han Bin, deputy director of the Haikou Customs port supervision department.
Li Enhua, deputy director of the customs supervision department of the Yangpu economic development zone, said that the customs department has continued to optimize the port's business environment and regulatory services. This promotes more varieties of fruit to enter the Chinese market through Yangpu, thus promoting the development of Hainan's foreign trade.
