On July 28, the Sanya Public Health Clinical Center was unveiled and put into use, becoming the first operational public health clinical center in Hainan province.
Covering an area of 36 mu (2.4 hectares) with a building area of 43,673 square meters, the center comprises an outpatient medical technology, an inpatient, and a comprehensive building.
Supporting facilities for the center, such as medical equipment, laboratories, ambulance cleaning stations, liquid oxygen stations, medical waste rooms, and sewage treatment stations, have also been constructed.
The Sanya Public Health Clinical Center relies on Sanya Central Hospital for overall management and operation. With 350 medical beds, the center houses various clinical departments, including infectious diseases, tuberculosis, preventive healthcare, internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, stomatology, dermatology, endemic diseases, oncology, emergency medicine, rehabilitation medicine, sports medicine, occupational diseases, anesthesia, medical laboratory, pathology, medical imaging, and traditional Chinese medicine.
The completion of this project signifies the improvement of Sanya's public health service system, boosting Sanya's ability to prevent and control infectious diseases, respond to public health emergencies, and care for the local community.
