The Foreign Affairs Office of Hainan Province announced on March 17 that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had shared some multi-language guides to help Hainan offer better services for overseas students and expats who seek medical treatment and anti-novel coronavirus (COVID-19) tips.
A Guide to the Prevention and Control of the COVID-19 Epidemic in Foreign Languages was made by the Beijing Language and Culture University under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and the National Language Commission.
It has integrated the relevant notices on virus prevention and control issued by authorities in China, as well as featured 50 daily-use sentences covering precautions measures, entry tips, and frequently used sentences on medical services at hospitals. The tips were made in short videos and special cards in six languages, including Korean, Japanese, Persian, Italian, Arabic, and English.
The Foreign Affairs Office of Hainan Province recommends that enterprises and institutions in Hainan can scan the QR codes to learn the useful expressions and further improve their services.
